Planning and Selection of the Kitchen
November 7, 2021
For the 'Mise au Point' - the appointment where sockets, switches and other details are determined - we also need the plan of the kitchen. We were a little late with this and thought a quick visit to the hardware store would prod a plan for the kitchen. Since our kitchen contains non-rectangular walls, DIY stores such as Leroy Merlin are out of the question for kitchen planning - and we need a real kitchen studio.
Choosing a kitchen studio
We asked several kitchen studios to submit proposals. Curiously, one kitchen studio asked us to select electrical appliances beforehand. Should the oven support pyrolosis or catalysis? We had not yet asked ourselves this question and it seemed incidental to the basic structure and look. In any case, without these and other answers, this kitchen studio did not provide us with a proposal for the kitchen.
We received the best proposal for our kitchen from the friendly employee of IXINA in La Teste de Buch. We are very pleased with the results. While we asked for suggestions for an initial on-site appointment, we were able to discuss the kitchen online and in 3D from home with IXINA and customize it to our liking.
Our experience so far with IXINA
IXINA's kitchen expert took a lot of time to try out, take back and implement changes with us in the 3D view. In doing so, his advice was excellent - as was his patience. As with the house, this is the design of our first kitchen - and so far we feel we have chosen exactly the right kitchen studio. We are really looking forward to seeing the IXINA kitchen in our house next year!
